One night in Singapore

Because we had a long lay-over on our flight to Australia, we decided to stay one night in Singapore. Welcome to the tropics! The heat was mad … or perhaps rather the combination with the humidity … We enjoyed some refreshment of the roof top pool of Marina Bay Sands, a truly stunning place to see the sunset! The walk in the Gardens by the Bay was a bit less pleasant, we were soaking wet after just 5 minutes! We didn’t go into town, but we did see a lot last year. However, we did go a bit earlier to the airport. Why? Because this must be the best airport in the world! There is so much to do for the transferring-lost-between-timezones-traveller. We finally went to the butterfly garden and loved it! And not to forget: we checked-in at the business class counter … what a luxury must all those rich and famous enjoy! (and no, we did not fly business, although there was, again, lots of space on the plane, the advantage of flying out of season and on strange hours.
